Claire Elise Wang, MM, NCTM, is an accomplished pianist and private teacher based in Spokane, WA. She received her Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from University of Montana and a Master of Music in Piano Performance from Eastern Washington University.
Claire is constantly challenging herself to be increasingly knowledgable, disciplined, and well-rounded in her field. Her range as a performer spans solo and collaborative recitals, competitions, radio appearances, musical theater productions and more. As a teacher, Claire strives to help pupils play with musical artistry, intent, and skill. Her professional skillset includes classical piano, musical theater, church music, collaborative work, music theory, composition and ear training.
Claire is also an award winning pie maker and amateur author. She is currently in the process of publishing a children's book about Western composers.

Beginning Piano
An introduction to the wonderful world of piano! New pianists will learn the notes of the keyboard, proper hand position and posture, rhythm and reading musical notation while playing enjoyable pieces.
Intermediate Piano
Building repertoire and continuing to work on technique and musicality. Students will be introduced to various styles and genres of piano literature. Good technique as well as an understanding of phrasing, rhythm and dynamics will be addressed.
Advanced Piano
The chance to explore college and professional level repertoire or polish pieces currently being worked on, as well as preparation for performances, competitions and auditions.
Composition
Tutoring for any musician wishing to compose their own music, write songs, improvise and expand their knowledge of music theory.
